I think a bunch of blogs should get together and systematically link mp3s for the most popular tracks on hypemachine write fake opinions and link them to really obscure music. Creating hype machine chaos (or a least some unintentional genre hopping). Hopefully hype machine will start becoming more nuanced in the way they track blogs and buzz, so that it doesn't feed the same boring buzz but allows more under the radar high quality posting to shine. thanks for the great post! I've never personally had problems with YouSendIt, and I've used it <b>a lot</b>, plus if you register with them (for free) your downloads actually last for 100 downloads and 7 days. The main reason I use YouSendIt is that I don't have to monitor how long the downloads have been up myself - I am safe in the knowledge that as soon as the track has been downloaded 100 times or has been up for 7 days, it will expire. Not too keen on the thought of leaving someone's material up for free download indefinitely. However... when I move this blog onto its own hosting (whenever that may be), I will need to use a file host that links directly to the .mp3 file so the little audio player will work properly on the actual blog entries. So at that point I will need to stop using YouSendIt anyway. p.s. there's another cover of Creep on Monday's blog entry! :-P Hey, Bilbob.
